Sorry I forgot to tell you I put it in my new laser cutter first :D

This bad boy arrived today in one huge box.

K40 40watt cO2 laser cutter

OMG it is huge! fills up the entire kitchen table.

After setting it up in the garage temporarily, not wanting to stink up the house or burn it down yet.

This Beast is huge!

Some rough spots but nothing a few zip ties and duct tape can fix :)

First etch attempt. not so good.

I then moved on to burning my minecraft server’s logo to test.

First test 90% power. Burned though the first layer of the plywood. neat effect but the glue did some weird things.

seeing that plywood wouldn’t make a nice burn I moved to a scrap of pine

nicer pine different settings.

:) nearly perfect.
